Keeping that factory finish! Factory applied finishes don’t last forever, so what do you do when you need to repaint them? Our client wanted to repaint all of their metal file cabinets and bathroom partitions without disruption to employee productivity.
Conventional spray methods would take too long and create a huge mess. Our solution, Electrostatic Painting! Specialized paint coatings are electrically charged and are attracted to the charged metal surface, creating a durable factory like finish. In fact, file cabinets didn’t even need to be emptied or moved out of the offices to be painted. Using this method we were able to complete the project during the overnight hours which allowed for full use of the facilities when employees returned in the morning.
SCOPE OF WORK:
1. Commercial client wants all bathroom partitions and file cabinets painted during overnight hours.
2. Cover and protect any areas directly adjacent to surfaces to be painted.
3. Clean and prep areas for painting.

CHALLENGES:
1. Work must be done without disruption to employee productivity.
2. File cabinets and bathroom partitions had to be painted in place.
3. Facilities needed to be ready for use when employees started work.
SOLUTIONS:
1. All work was scheduled during after business hours so as not to disrupt employee productivity.
2. File cabinets and bathroom partitions were painted electrostatically so that paint would wrap around items and very little room was needed.
3. Using the Electrostatic method meant that there was very little overspray and factory like finish that was ready for normal use in the morning.
